The anchor is a large weight, made of concrete, which secures the tower and is the bulk of the Ufer grounding system.

  • Anchor footprint is approximately 4' square
  • The lower tier is 4' square and may be covered by dirt
  • The hole is filled with approximately five yards of concrete
  • The base of the hole is ideally wider than the top
  • Anchor is strengthened by a Re-Bar cage
  • 18", grade 8 j-bolts secure bottom of base plate to anchor
  • Custom anchor designs available as needed

The base plate for the tower is a powerful attachment to the anchor to secure the tower in place, working together with the hinge plate and drogue to complete the base of the tower.

  • 20" square steel plate, 3/4" thickness
  • Threaded for 12 J-bolts
  • J-bolts are 18", grade 8
  • J-bolts extend into concrete of anchor
  • Hinge rings match with top
  • Base & Hinge Plates are powder coated
  • Hinge plate is slotted for threaded J-bolts
  • Hinge plate is 3/4" steel
  • Hinge rings match with bottom, attached to Base Plate with stainless steel hinge pin

The pole mount secures the tower to the Drogue.
